David Oyelowo to play Martin Luther King Jr

English actor of Nigerian decent, David Oyelowo will be Martin Luther King Jr in Selma, scheduled to be released in 2011.

Selma is being directed by Lee Daniels, who's film Precious: Based on the Novel Push by Sapphire earned him a nomination for best director in this year's Academy Awards.

David Oyelowo appeared in Forest Whitaker's Oscar award winning role as Idi Amin, in The Last King of Scotland. But is best known for playing agent Danny Hunter in the British TV drama series Spooks.
