West Ham vs Chelsea featuring Obi Mikel and his Funky hats

Jolly good show by Chelsea this weekend. They put up a sound performance against West Ham without key players like Drogba. Mikel happened to be one of the Heroes of the match with his on the line booting of the ball to save Peter Cech's arse. But even more important is where in the hell does he get his hats from. Reporter up top in the video can't help but do some investigative journalism on this very pressing issue of the funkyhats.

Nollywood in Hollywood

Alright, check it. In Asian cinema you have actors like Chow Yun-Fat who found his fame and fortune in Hong Kong produced action packed John Woo movies such as The Killer (insert white dove here) and Hard Boiled. My guy was able to use his garnered Godlike celebrity status in Asia and transfer  that into a reasonable successful career in Hollywood. He’s been in Hollywood hits like The Replacement Killers and one of the highest grossing movies in American history Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End. Unfortunately he was recently in the disastrous flop Dragon Ball Evolution. Big shame really, because I’m a fan of the original anime. I guess all stars have their ups and downs.

In Spanish cinema you have Penelope Cruz who started out on Spanish telly. She managed to dazzle people enough to land roles in feature length movies in Spain. But at all, she didn’t stop there. She’s been in such Hollywood blockbusters like BLOW, dated and starred opposite Tom Cruise in Vanilla Sky, and recently won an Oscar for best supporting actress in her performance in Woody Allen’s Vicky Cristina Barcelona where she plays alongside that very very fine girl Scarlett Johansoon.

Then we have Bollywood’s other fine girl Aishwarya Rai who’s pretty much the Goddess of all things Bollywood. She’s also trying to make it big in Hollywood, but so far her attempts haven’t yielded much. She’s been in movies like The Pink Panther 2 (flop) and The Last Legion (major flop). But I’ll still give her kudos, she’s trying sha!

And last but not least we have our brothers and sisters in Nollywood. Last time I checked (today) Nollywood is the third largest movie industry in the world thus definitely generating its own idols and mega super stars. But when are we going to see Genevieve starring next to Will Smith in blood money 3?? I’m just saying...

Canadian kidnapped in Kaduna

Is it just me or are kidnappings rampantly happening all over the world right now. We have crazy Somali pirates, Jaimacans hijacking planes, Militia in the Niger Delta of Nigeria, and now Kaduna has gotten in the mix.

Canadian woman Julie Ann Mulligan was Kidnapped in Kaduna last Thursday, April 16th. The kidnappers are demanding a ransom of 20 million Naira which is  $136,227 US Dollars.  At about approximately 8 hours ago today (April 23rd) it was reported that Julie has fallen seriously ill. Here are some of the quotes from her Captors:

"Our hostage is seriously sick, she has malaria and rashes all over her body,"

"She is still weak even after taking some medication we offered her. She can barely talk"

It's a pretty sorry state of affairs around the world these days. People are resulting to very desperate measures in this desperate time we're all in, brought about by the global recession, and for the criminally inclined in the third world, kidnapping seems to be where the money's at.

I hope Julie returns home safely.

Obasanjo in the hot seat in Hardtalk interview

Watch Obasanjo in the hot seat in hard talk interview in News  |  View More Free Videos Online at Veoh.com

Chai!!! These BBC guys don't joke around. The show isn't called Hardtalk for nothing. Last month Obasanjo was on the show, president or no president  this BBC dude didn't send, and just started interrogating OBJ anyhow.

Former president of Nigeria Olusegun Obasanjo was confronted interviewed about hard pressing issues such as corruption that has been devastating Nigeria and the entire African continent as a whole. Maybe it's just me but if you look in the video up top, like around the 17th minute I think, you can just notice a trickle of sweat running down from the left corner of OBJ's eyebrow.
