English FA Cup champ and Super eagles player Mikel Obi has been reported MIA by the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF), apparently this is most likely due to the troubled relationship between him and Super eagles coach Shuaibu Amodu.
It was gathered that Mikel Obi was unhappy with the way he was treated by the team coaching crew in the World Cup qualifier against Kenya and subsequently did not play in the match.
He has also deliberately made himself unavailable to take photographs for his new international passport according to this statement by the NFF:
“ He did not show up for his new passport that’s his business”
“We have not used him in the last three matches, so we will not miss him at all. If he fails to turn up, it simply means he has ruled himself out of the team.”
