Nigeria climbed one step to the 39th spot in the current FIFA world rankings. This movement was a reward for the Eagles' 2-1 win over Sierra Leone in an international friendly played last month at the Teslim Balogun stadium in Lagos.
In the February rankings, Nigeria plummeted from 32 position to 40. However, a convincing win against Ethiopia in a 2012 Nations Cup qualifier later this month, would see the Super Eagles rise in the next edition of the FIFA rankings, due in the early days of April.
Spain are still number one with Holland and Germany in tow. But Argentina pushed Brazil from fourth place, while England remained at number six.

Burkina Faso moved a step into the 40th position, to complete the African top five.
