EFCC arrest 5 from Nigerian Film Corporation over N12 Million Scam

Five officials from the Nigerian Film Corporation were arrested in Jos on Tuesday by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) for embezzling N12 Million ($81,200).

After interrogations carried out by the EFCC at their headquarters in Abuja, the five officials confessed and promised to refund the money.

Back in February, officials from the Nigerian Film Corporation proposed to the Minister of Information and Communications to move the corporation's headquarters to Abuja. Apparently N11.8 Million was issued for the movement by the ministry, but in April the approval for the move was cancelled.

The five officials from the Nigerian Film Corporation chose not to give the money back to the ministry and decided to share it amongst themselves and others in the corporation.
