Henry Okah, South Africa-based Nigerian who is facing trial in a Johannesburg court for allegedly masterminding the October 1 twin bomb blast in Abuja has been moved to the maximum security prison after eight mobile phones were discovered in his cell during an unscheduled search.
It was gathered that the Nigerian government requested that Okah be ex-communicated after they claimed he made several calls to journalists, Niger Delta militants and Nigerian officials to express the desire of the Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger Delta, MEND, to shut down oil production in the region.
