Members of Nigerian National Assembly charged with Fraud

Chai!!! The Irony...The national assembly members who were responsible for investigating the prolonged electricity crisis in Nigeria have been charged with fraud.

After the $16 billion that was pumped into fixing NEPA (aka Power Holding Company of Nigeria) during the Obasanjo regime. People on a regular basis still get to exclaim the amusing "NEPA don strike" as they prep their electric generators and kerosene lamps (for the less privileged) to recover from the constant blackouts.

The National Assembly members charged with fraud have denied stealing $42 million of publc funds. I'll be keeping an eye on this one. For more details on the story and how these guys tried to implicate Obasanjo on the failure of NEPA please visit the BBC.
